Corrosion Behavior of AA2055 Aluminum-Lithium Alloys Anodized in the Presence of Sulfuric Acid Solution

The aim of this work was to evaluate the corrosion behavior AA2055 Aluminum-lithium alloy anodized in a sulfuric acid (H2SO4) bath, varying current density 0.19 and 1 A·cm−2 why sealing solution water (H2O) sodium dichromate (Na2Cr2O7). Anodized samples were exposed 10 vol.% H2SO4 electrochemical technique used impedance spectroscopy. Scanning electron microscopy X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy employed characterization anodizing layer, determinate morphology thickness coatings. Na2Cr2O7 tends increase charge transfer resistance produces more homogeneous compact passive oxide imparts inhibition protection AA2055. SEM observations indicated that anodic films formed on aluminum-lithium have best results for both densities.
